Our vision is that every young person who needs a mentor, has a mentor. 
Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated in Melbourne for over 25 years. During this time, we have provided approximately 2,500 vulnerable young people, in need of additional support and friendship, with a caring mentor and positive role model. 
In late 2005, Big Brothers Big Sisters was established in Melbourne's Outer South East region for the purpose of delivering youth mentoring services to the City of Casey and beyond. In less than three years, almost 60 young people have been matched with volunteer mentors. In 2009, Big Brothers Big Sisters hope to extend this target to at least 100 young people, with additional activity programs allowing us to reach approximately 200 young people. Big Brothers Big Sisters continues to lead the field in youth mentoring, supported by 100 years of international experience and expertise. Our name and logo are synonymous with quality program delivery and best practice worldwide. Big Brothers Big Sisters currently operates in 12 countries. The program is based on the simplicity
and the power of friendship. A caring - carefully screened - adult, sharing everyday experiences with a young person. It's so simple, but incredibly important.
